::

Do any of these three things sound familiar. Number one, you know, content is the key to growing your business online, but when things get busy, it can end up at the bottom of your to-do list. Number two, you sometimes feel overwhelmed by all the advice online on how to promote your business. Social media, email marketing, content marketing.

::

Sometimes it just feels too much. Where do you start? And number three, you'd like to make money online from digital products, from online courses or memberships, for example, say your business, isn't a hundred percent reliant on you. Maybe you already have a digital product, but you just like to make more money from it online. If any, or all of those things apply to you,

::

you need to be at courageous content knife. I'm Janet Murray. I'm a content and online business strategies. And in this episode of the courageous content podcast, I want to tell you about an event I organized every year called courageous content live and why I think you should be there. So what is courageous content live? Well, it's my annual content marketing event for entrepreneurs,

::

creative freelancers and online course creators, and actually anyone who needs to create content to promote their business or brands online. It's now in its six year, although it's has a few name changes along the way, and this year it's the biggest ever. It's a two day event taking place in Newcastle in the north of England on November the first and second. And if you're listening to this episode around the time it goes live,

::

which is due to be mid-May, then you may think that sounds like a long time away, but six months can pass very quickly. And if you don't get in there and get your ticket early, well, you may miss out. So what will you get if you come along to the event? Well, you'll get to hear from some of the world's leading content marketing experts.

::

You'll get to take part in practical workshops, which will help you with every aspect of marketing, your small business or brands. And you'll get a couple of days to hang out with other entrepreneurs, course creators, other small business owners who have the same challenges as you do. And I don't know about you, but I have certainly best doing that over the last few years.

::

I enjoyed when my event online secretly kind of enjoyed it more in a way, but I know that it's much needed. There is so much value to be had just from taking a few days out to work on your business rather than in your business. And just to hang out with other people like you in person, there really is no substitute. So why did I create this event in the first place?

::

Well, it started actually as an annual content planning event and it linked in with my planner, which has also gone through a few name, changes over the years, but it's now the courageous content planner. And it was really an opportunity for business owners to get together once a year, usually in that first week of November to plan strategically for the coming.

::

Yeah. And it's really developed and grown from that. So we still do the concept planning bit. We still get our content plan created for 2023, but there is so much more. We have keynote speakers and practical workshops on every topic imaginable from social media marketing to email marketing, to Pinterest, to YouTube, podcasting, Tik TOK, Instagram, LinkedIn,

::

Twitter sales funnels, website conversion, you name it. If it's to do with promoting your business online, we cover it at courageous content live and we get the best speakers along to talk to you about those things. And you also get to talk to each other about those things we're expecting in the region of 250 or so to attend this year. And they'll also be a good few hundred if not more watching on the live stream.

::

And I guess the bigger mission behind it was about bringing entrepreneurs, creative freelancers course creators together because I know how lonely it can feel as a business owner and just how helpful it can be to spend time with inspiring creative people who can help you to grow your business. I also know how easy it can be to get stuck in a rush to end up working in your business while on it.

::

And that's exactly what you need to grow. How often do you get the time just to take a few days out of working in your business to work on it, to plan, to strategize, to plan for the year ahead and also get real practical concept marketing tactics, all the Intel on what's going to be big in 20, 23 and beyond when I put together my speaker lineups some more on this in a sec,

::

I don't just book the big names. I don't go after the people that you see at every marketing event or on every marketing podcast. I handpick people who are really skilled content creators that also often cause creators as well, they're selling and monetizing their content online. And in addition to it's usually about eight keynote speakers usually have a good couple of dozen expert speakers.

::

He'll lead workshops and Q and A's on a whole variety of topics, which will be relevant to you. And we sometimes even straight out of the online marketing and content space. Last year, we had sessions on managing your time. We also had a session for your out diversion entrepreneurs. We had a special session on creating daily content and we had speakers who had a daily podcast or daily,

::

YouTube daily email. So we try to, and I hate this phrase, but we do try to think out of the box when it comes to the event content. And when you come to one of my events, you can relax and know you're going to have a really great experience because I have been running in-person events and online events for best part of a decade now.

::

And if you've been to one before, you'll know, they're very well organized. We really look after you and make you feel part of the community. Even though there might be hundreds of people there and we do everything we can to make sure that you feel welcome, you get to meet people and have a great event experience, including putting on socials for you,

::

where you can get to meet other delegates anymore. What relaxed environment. So how can the event help you grow your business? Well, here's three key things. First of you'll be the first to hear about all the latest content trends. So what's working in the back end of 2022 was going to be big with content marketing in 2023. So you can really grow your business online,

::

but also stop wasting time on things that are outdated or things that aren't working anymore. You will get tried and tested concept marketing tactics from our expert speakers. They are all real experts in their field. They're achieving the things that you want to achieve with your content. So you don't have to figure all of this stuff out by yourself. We will say,

::

make sure our speakers are very accessible. You'll just be able to walk up and chat to them and ask them questions, go for drinks with them. And you'll also get practical content creation sessions. So you actually learn how to create more content in less time, how to repurpose your content and you'll even get your 2023 content plan created live at the event.

::

Because if you come to the event, you will be the first to get your hands on my 2023 courageous content planner. It comes free with your tickets and you get yours before anyone else, which people are usually pretty excited about. And of course there's all that time to socialize and network with other business owners. I actually like to keep my days fairly short.

::

So we typically start around half past nine in the morning and finish at four in the afternoon. We do have lunchtime breakouts and early morning breakouts and extra workshops and things going on. But the main part of the day, I like to finish at four and keep it fairly short because I know it's important for people to not only get downtime, but also get time to meet other people and network.

::

I've been to events where they've had you sat sitting in the conference room for like nine in the morning until five in the afternoon. For me, that just feels too long. We also make our lunch break nice and long so that you've got plenty of time to talk to people. And for me, one of the most valuable things about going to live events is the connections that you make and longstanding friendships that last for years,

::

you see the same people coming back again and again, and you can see that they've kept in touch in between events. You know, it's a really great way to not only meet people at the event, but to get that ongoing support with your business throughout the next year and beyond. So here's the event for well peaceably. If you need to create content to promote a business or brand online,

::

you will get a ton of value from courageous content live. It's perfect for you. If you sell a product or service offline or you want to, it's perfect if you're launching a new service or business in the next 90 days or so from the event, and you'll also get value. If you want to increase the sales of your product or service online.

::

And I don't think I know a single business owner, including myself who wouldn't want that. Typically we do attract a lot of entrepreneurs, creative freelancers, online course creators, but we do have bricks and business owners. We have product and service based businesses come along and find value at the event, new businesses, very established businesses, coaches, consultants, it all comes back to do.

::

You need to create content online to promote your business. If you do, you're going to get value at this event. And please don't think that you're too advanced for this event either. I know I could attend this event as a delegate and I would get tons out of it, not just the networking part, but also from the speakers and the sessions.

::

I don't know everything. I'm not an expert in everything and things are changing. So that's why we bring the experts to hearings so they can give you the latest strategies. And if I'm the event organizer and the event founder, and I think I'm going to get value from the event, then I feel very sure what you are going to to regardless of your level of experience.

::

So what's the price? Well, you're getting two full days of training and lunch on both days, and you're getting a copy of my courageous concept planner, which is 47 pounds alone. It's my courageous content planning kit this year. And the two day event is just jam packed with value. So the headline price is 5, 9, 7 pounds, but we have early bird tickets.

::

I'm recording this now, early bird tickets are open this week. So it really does pay to get in early because you can save well, in this case, you can save 50% on your ticket. If you get in while the early bird tickets are on sale. So you may be wondering why the event is in Newcastle and not in London as that's where I used to hold my events in the past.

::

Well, if you've ever tried to book a venue in London, you may know why, but it's very, very expensive to hire and event space in London. And there's no way around it that has to be passed on in the ticket price. So hosting the event outside of London means that we can keep the costs down or we can pass that savings onto you.

::

But, and I think this part is crucial. It's also cheaper for you to be part of the event. I was looking for a hotel room last night in London, and I couldn't get anything for less than about a hundred, 150 pounds a night. Yes, you can get rooms for less than that. If you don't mind sharing with bedbugs, but at certain times of year in particular,

::

the roommates can be really, really expensive in London and can double or triple your accommodation budget. We are able to offer a delicate rate at the Hilton in Newcastle, where the event is being held. It's a lovely, lovely hotel, and we do have a special weight for you. But if you are on a budget, there are plenty of alternatives near to the venue,

::

which you can book a room at a fraction of the price providing you too early, which is another key reason why we get the tickets on sale early and offer you this early bird rate, which is available. Now, if you're listening around the time this podcast goes live, Newcastle is also really easy to get to by air or by train. It's just over three hours from London.

::

I always get the train cause I love a long train journey. And if you early, you can get your train to get for a fraction of the price. I know all the tricks to get first-class singles for less than the price of a return. So I do that. If you set yourself up an alert 90 days before the event is due to happen,

::

but it's also got great transport links all over the country. It's not miles away from the airport. Like if you fly into London, then you have to do the whole headphone Gatwick thing. And when you're in the city, everything is pretty much walkable. You can walk everywhere from the event venue and the hotels close by there's loads of great bars, culture,

::

loads of things to do shopping. It's just a really, really great city. It's really easy to get to. And it's also much cheaper for people to stay and eat and drinking, which again helps us to keep the event more accessible. We can say, not only can we pass on the savings on the event, higher in the ticket price, but hopefully your overall budget will be lower because of those lower accommodation costs.

::

So I hope you found that useful and it helps you to make a decision about whether to attend the event or not. The link is in the show notes. It's just courageous content live really easy to remember. And if you want to know more about the speakers at competitors' content live, then do listen to my next podcast episode? It's called how I chose the speakers for Courageous Content Live.
